As well as Merlinktober, I also did my usually daily doodles in October, but using the Inktober prompts rather than my usual Doodle-A-Day prompts. I got a few days behind because of my Merlin Inktober sketches. But got caught up last night:

Inktober 2019

Wow, is it already October? Where there hell did September go? And what am I going to do for Inktober. Decisions, decisions. I think that will require a separate post.

Looking back on September, I at least completed my Doodle-A-Day page (below).

But I can also count the following fandom successes:

The rounding up and closing of Merlin Kinkalot, with some reflection with my fellow mods about what we would do differently if we run it again next year. I posted a few of my bonus challenge non-anon entries (Horizontal Tango, immanis engorgio). The rest will stay anonymous forever, mwahahaha. I also did one of the Camelot Drabble challenges and posted an update to Clouds and Silverlinings, my Victorian Merthur AU.

I'm hoping to be a bit more productive this coming month. But we will have to see it time and my muse are on my side.

August 2019's doodle-a-day spread in my bullet journal:

I need to take a better, more in-focus picture with a better light source, as per usual. But this will have to be a placeholder for now.

Other things I've been doing in August include running the new Merlin porn fest: Kinkalot, which is now in the last week as we wait on voting on the last challenge to conclude. It's been a big challenge and a lot more work than I had originally envisioned. But I think that people have enjoyed it and there was a nice level of participation and a bunch of new works for the fandom, so that's a win/win.

So I decided in order to keep doing a bit of art every day, it would be a good idea to utilise my bullet journal and have a 2 page spread in there to draw a very small picture each day. I figured that should be doable without being too much pressure.

This is the end result:

I'm relatively happy with how they turned out. There's a few duds in there. But overall, not terrible.
