I've been working on making a piece of fanart for this fic for my friend as a (very, super-duper late) Christmas present and as a thank you for writing so many pieces for the Winter Knights fest which really helped us fill some slots in the fest on weeks we were running a bit sparse on fic/art.
I started drawing it in December before stopping with it for various reasons, mostly not being sure how to move forward with it. Here's the pencil draft that I scanned in:

and now I have a tablet, I'm finally getting around to working on it again and want to give it a go in a digital medium instead.
I'm kind of shocked and surprised and happy that my lineart is starting to look more like other peoples? Maybe this is the way around my Achilles heel right now of not being able to draw a very good image on the tablet from scratch, to draw a pencil sketch first? Food for thought. I guess we'll see how the rest of this goes. But this is it for now:

PS. Ignore Merlin's fingers for now because YIKES, need to fix those next time I'm arting. Haha.
(Why yes, I AM queen of starting new WIPs and abandoning them)
